Origins

The VanLife Collective was born out of a series of Quarantine projects. Lucille was built in Hood River on the Marina Beach, in driveways around Lincoln Street, and on the side of the Payette River in Banks, ID. She was an experiment in mentorship, bringing friends together to learn and share skills.

When the reality of a public van maker-space seemed unfeasible, the collective vibe transformed into friends working together, and the Osprey Drive Shop sprang up to meet the growing demand for van customization. Everything was custom at that point.

As the Covid van craze settles, we find ourselves refining a cowboy idea into a bomber set of products, built for van lifers by VanLifers.

With a heavy influence from the wind, snow and mountain sports here in the Gorge, we aim to offer gear hauling, friend toting, adventure inspiring rigs to make it easier for you to hit the road at a moment’s notice.
