Sell your van the easy way

$1699 listing fee + 5% of sale price once sold

We help you by marketing your van in the right places, verifying that your van systems are working correctly, and screening and negotiating with potential buyers.

We have constant traffic through our shop and website, with many dreamers poking their heads in to see what’s going on.

We do not offer a “sell it yourself” platform — check out vanlifetrader.com as the best place to list a van on your own.

*We are not a dealer, and the final transaction is between you and the buyer.

What we do:

  • Professional Photos

  • Help price your van

  • List your van across van platforms and sales websites

  • Park your van in a high traffic area in Hood River (1 month), then at our shop

  • Pre-purchase Inspection for mechanical and systems so your van is 100% ready to go for the buyer

  • Filter Serious Buyers

  • Negotiate

  • Guide you on paperwork and taking final payment

Requirements:

  • Battery Requirements

    • Lithium Batteries

    • Shunt to monitor battery life

    • Alternator Charging

  • Pass VLC systems inspection

    • Safe Wiring

    • Functional plumbing

    • Functional cabinets and accessories

  • Pre-purchase Inspection at Delcarpine Automotive (included in the listing fee, and we facilitate the appointment)
As we aim to have vans in top condition ready to purchase, we ask that any issues that may come up in the inspection are addressed before we list your van.

Extras

  • Van Detailing - Starting at $500

  • In our Pre Purchase Inspections, if we find issues that require fixing, we provide service to fix your rig. Upfit related items we do in house, and mechanical related items we will coordinate with Delcarpine Automotive to bring your rig up to spec.

We do not offer appraisals or guarantee pricing — because the market price is what someone is willing to pay.

Diagnostics

Prior to listing, we inspect the van as part of our service to make sure everything works. If there are any issues, we can quote you on repairs and troubleshooting.

Upgrades

Upon request, we can also advise you on small upgrades that make your sale more attractive — but we usually do not recommend huge upgrades before a sale.

The transaction process

When a buyer is ready to purchase, we request a 5% non-refundable deposit from the buyer to take the van off the market, which we charge through the VLC. That lets us work out logistics of signing purchase documents and arranging the final payment to be sent directly to the seller. The most common form of payment is a cashier’s check or wire — and we will facilitate whichever method works best for both parties.

The van is held at the shop until all payments and signatures have been completed.

Taking your van off the market

We ask that you commit to 4 months. If your van does not sell in that period, we can end the contract and remove listings.
